HARLECH 6 - Royal St David's Golf Course
The golf club was established in 1894 and today hosts some of Wales and Britain's best amateur competitions. The course is regarded as one of the country's most prestigious traditional links courses and difficult to score on.
Royal patronage came with the Prince of Wales in 1934 (later to become Edward VII)
In the picture above, the RSD's clubhouse is the building immediately in front of the large tree (at 7 o'clock position), while the white cubic building to the immediate right of the same tree is Harlech Swimming Pool.
Today, the course is open all year and offers commanding views not only of the Castle but also of the Snowdonia Coastal area, Snowdon itself and the Rhinogau Mountain range.
