Sandy Patch - Holiday Cottage under the Castle
The bungalow sits on an area of sand which was once covered by the sea right up to the very base of the cliff on which the Castle behind stands.
This is known from historical reports that the Castle was provisioned by Sea during two long sieges of the castle.
***
The bungalow's terrace offers an unequalled view of the Castle, providing the opportunity to gaze up and ponder on the history that this edifice has witnessed. It has surely witnessed and been party to momentous events in Welsh and British history.
Within 150 yards are a swimming pool and a children's play area and a walk of some 700-800 yards will bring the children to the biggest and best sand pit they will probably ever encounter. Every year there is even a competition to build the best sand castle there. Details of the coming year's
Sandcastle Competition will be posted when available.
